Getting Ready

My room in Oakland is half boxed up. The three month Eurail global pass arrived in the mail on Monday. I got my Russian tourist invitation yesterday (yes, you need a specific invitation from a Russian company to get a Russian visa). The tickets on the Queen Mary II are booked. IT'S ALL SO REAL.

It's so real I can taste it. I have one foot out the door. No, I have a foot, a leg, an arm, and half a hip out the door. I am so excited that it wakes me up in the middle of the night sometimes. I can't wait to begin this journey and find all the sounds!
